Hey there, I’m Kesem,
In my work, I bring together various skills and perspectives. I am a Ceramic Designer, Life and Creativity Coach, Mentor, and Clay Therapist.
As I focus on encouraging creativity and self-expression, I help people, creative professionals, and those with a creative spark to move forward, sideways, and expand in the direction they want.
As a ceramic designer,
with two decades of experience, I’ve worked with various clay techniques, from hand-building and wheel-throwing to specializing in mold-making for ceramics, developing a deep understanding of this beautiful medium.
I design, produce, and create handmade, unique ceramic pieces in my studio, inspired by my surroundings, the urban life in Amsterdam and nature. I love the blend of craft and design and appreciate the connection between diverse materials, textures, and mediums. I value the timeless nature of clay. It is both old and new, offering limitless possibilities for creative expression.
Clay is a beautiful form of self-expression, and I am passionate about the creative process and the satisfaction of making things with my hands. In the last 15 years, I’ve worked in retail B2B with businesses across Europe, selling my collections to many shops.
Running my clay studio here in Amsterdam, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching countless workshops and hosting fun events for groups. From team-building sessions to party workshops, I’ve done it all, and I welcome you to my studio.
As a Life and Creative Coach,
I assist individuals, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals by supporting internal and external challenges, whether personal or professional, and helping them achieve fulfillment.
My dual role as a designer and coach has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges creatives face in their journeys and how to support them.
In my non-directive coaching approach, I trust that with the right reflection, you can figure out what you want. I provide the support, empathy, perspective, structure, tools, and strategies you need to make progress.
I studied Life Coaching and Counseling, then continued studying Creativity Coaching. This gives me a deep understanding of personal development and creative processes, allowing me to support both individuals and creative professionals in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.
As a mentor,
I understand the challenges creatives face and how important creating is for you. As a mentor, I take a more directive approach than in coaching. I share my knowledge, experience, and skills to guide you toward your goal while providing expertise and insights.
As a designer, I am familiar with the entire process of designing, producing, and selling, as well as starting a business or project from scratch. Having worked for many years in B2B, I also deeply understand that side of the business.
Clay Therapy,
During the Clay Field session, people can share their stories without speaking. They use their hands in the clay to express emotions and experiences stored inside their bodies, finding relief through this expressive process. This practice helps individuals process trauma and memories held within.
As a clay therapist, I create a safe environment where you can express your emotions and experiences through working with clay. I guide you through the session, helping you become more aware of your movements and regulate your feelings. I support your journey of self-discovery by holding space for you with empathy, reflection, and mirroring without judgment. My role is to help you explore your emotions, encourage exploration, reduce stress, and ground yourself in the present moment as you meet yourself in the field.
