You can paint freely or begin with a sketch; either way, I’ll gently guide you and share simple techniques to paint and help you feel confident and inspired. It’s a relaxed and welcoming space where you can slow down, focus, and enjoy the process of painting.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll dive into the colorful world of painting on ceramics.
I love freehand painting on ceramics, especially when I let myself paint whatever comes to mind. It takes a steady hand, a calm body, easy breathing, and a quiet mind.
You can paint freely or plan and sketch first, either way, I’ll guide you and show you different ways to create.
During the workshop, you’ll paint one pre-fired ceramic plate. I’ll demonstrate a few simple painting techniques to help you get started and feel confident. The plates are bisque-fired — light, unpainted ceramics that are ready for decoration. We’ll use underglaze colors and ceramic pigments, perfect for adding beautiful details and personal touches.
You’ll have plenty of creative freedom to explore your own style, and I’ll provide a range of images, patterns, and ideas to inspire you.
Once you’ve finished your piece, I’ll glaze it with a clear glossy coat and fire it in my kiln. Your finished plate will be ready in about two weeks. If you prefer, I can arrange shipping (shipping costs are not included in the workshop fee).

Hey there, I’m Kesem! I’m a ceramic designer and a Life & Creative Coach. I’ve worked with various clay techniques for the past 20 years, developing a deep understanding of this beautiful medium. In my Amsterdam studio, I’ve taught countless workshops and hosted creative events — from team-building sessions to party workshops.
I can’t wait to welcome you to my studio and share my passion for clay and creativity.

The price for the 2,5-hour workshop is 65 euros, including all materials, tea, and cookies.
Cancellation Policy
A full refund can be obtained if you notify us 8 days before class begins.
The fee is transferable to another workshop if you inform us at least 8 days before class begins.
No refund or transfer if you give no notice (‘no show’).
