Embroider Your Own Clothing

Join fashion designer Yara Kanaan, founder of Yara Kanaan Atelier, for a unique embroidery workshop that blends creativity, tradition, and sustainability. Yara specializes in eco-friendly, zero-waste fashion, crafting chic, custom-made pieces with a focus on quality and individuality.

In this workshop, participants will explore traditional and modern embroidery techniques to repair, enhance, or personalize their clothing. Bring a garment to transform or choose from the special fabrics provided. Yara will guide you through stitch techniques, design planning, and creative applications.

No experience is needed, just your passion!

Each participant will receive a PDF guide with embroidery techniques to continue their journey at home.

What Can You Create?

You can make one or two pieces. Bring a T-shirt, garment, pillowcase, scarf, or any fabric item you’d like to transform. If you don’t have one, special fabrics will be provided.

What’s included in the price?

The materials, tools, and tea & cookies, 

-The workshop is in English.

-For all levels. The workshop is intended for beginners but is also suitable for the more experienced.

-Please be on time or a bit before

-I strongly encourage you to register, as the class size is limited to 10 people per class.

-I offer a relaxed and supportive environment.

The price for the 3 hour workshop is 45 euros, including all materials, tea, and cookies.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained if you notify us eight days before class begins.

The fee is transferable to another workshop if you inform us eight days before class begins.

No refund or transfer if you give no notice (‘no show’).

My studio is in the center of Amsterdam,

200 meters from Nieuwmarkt,

100 meters from Nieuwmarkt Metro station and a 10 min walk from the Central station.

Nieuwmarkt Metro station- lines 51, 53, and 54 have a stop at this station.
