About

In this fun session, you’ll experiment with various stamps to create beautiful textured surfaces. We’ll then use plaster molds to turn those textured surfaces into plates. I’ve made many unique stamps from different materials, so you can create endless patterns in various styles, from abstract to geometric, and design your plate. Plus, we’ll have time to add underglaze colors to your plates to make them even more unique!

We’ll use hand-building techniques like slab building, and I’ll give step-by-step instructions throughout the process.

You can make up to two pieces: one plate and one hanger.

When the project is finished, you’ll leave it in my studio to dry. I’ll glaze it with a clear finish and fire it twice in my kiln. Your creations will be ready for pickup in about two to three weeks.

 What’s included in the price?

The Clay, the use of the Studio tools, transparent glaze, underglaze colors, two firing to finish your object, and tea & cookies,

-The workshop is in English.

-No need to bring special clothes.

-For all levels. The workshop is intended for beginners but is also suitable for the more experienced.

-Please be on time or a bit before

-I strongly encourage you to register, as the class size is limited to 9 people per class.

-I offer a relaxed and supportive environment.

Hey there, I’m Kesem!

As a ceramic designer and a Life and Creative Coach, I’ve worked with various clay techniques for the past 20 years, developing a deep understanding of this beautiful medium. Running my clay studio here in Amsterdam, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching countless workshops and hosting fun events for groups. From team-building sessions to party workshops, I’ve done it all!
