Painting on ceramic plates workshop

During this 2.5-hour workshop, participants will learn about painting on ceramic plates.

You will receive one blank bisque plate, 25 cm in diameter, and I will demonstrate various painting techniques. These bisque plates are light, unpainted ceramic pieces that have been pre-fired and are ready for decoration. We’ll use underglaze colors and ceramic pigments, perfect for creating detailed designs.

You’ll have the creative freedom to explore your artistic style, and a range of images, patterns, and designs will be available for inspiration.

After you’ve completed your plate, they will be coated with a clear glaze to give a glossy finish and then fired in my kiln. You can expect your finished piece to be ready in about two weeks. Shipping can be arranged if you prefer, though shipping costs are not included in the workshop fee.

The plate, the use of the Studio tools, transparent glaze, underglaze colors, firing to finish your object, and tea & cookies,

• The workshop will be conducted in English.
• No special clothing is required. An apron will be provided.
• Open to all levels; no prior experience is necessary.
• Please arrive on time or a little early.
• I highly recommend registering in advance, as the class size is limited to 10 participants.
• A relaxed and supportive environment will be offered.

Hey there, I’m Kesem!

As a ceramic designer and a Life and Creative Coach, I’ve worked with various clay techniques for the past 20 years, developing a deep understanding of this beautiful medium. Running my clay studio here in Amsterdam, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching countless workshops and hosting fun events for groups. From team-building sessions to party workshops, I’ve done it all!

Cost

The price for the 2.5-hour workshop is 59 euros, including all materials, tea, and cookies.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained if you notify us eight days before class begins.

The fee is transferable to another workshop if you inform us eight days before class begins.

No refund or transfer if you give no notice (‘no show’).

My studio is in the center of Amsterdam,

200 meters from Nieuwmarkt,

100 meters from Nieuwmarkt Metro station and a 10 min walk from the Central station.

Nieuwmarkt Metro station- lines 51, 53, and 54 have a stop at this station.
