The Broken rings – Aesthetics of Fragmentation
Ceramic rings made from recycled pieces of ceramic, the rings are entirely handmade; some covered with prints, some only with glaze and gold luster.
I became fascinated with these broken fractured shapes, it reveals something about the material, and exposing the inside content. In this process working with fragments, I found their beauty, their simplicity of the shape, and the aesthetics of the broken, damaged and imperfect imbedded in them.
This collection is inspired by art deco geometric motifs, Ethnic influences and Classic Art Nouveau elements. This combination of styles creates a funky design of jewelry, big and bold and rich in texture and shapes. The clay material gives it an earthy nature touch.
The jewelry made out of low fire clay, the pieces are entirely hand crafted and molded, each one is unique and hand form. The pieces made from molds of crystal glasses and plates.
